Accounting that always balances.

A real double-entry ledger underneath every module. Entries cannot be saved unless debits equal credits, posted entries are never edited, and closed months stay closed.

Accounting in One is a double-entry general ledger shared by every module. The chart of accounts, tax codes and numbering are live today; journal entries, opening balances, bank accounts and financial reports (trial balance, profit and loss, balance sheet) arrive in release v0.2.

What it does

Accounting, in detail.

Ready-made chart of accounts

A clean chart is created with every company, with tax accounts already linked. Add, rename or archive accounts at any time. Live today.

Balanced by design

The system refuses an entry where debits and credits differ, so the books can never drift out of balance.

Never edited, always traceable

Posted entries are locked. Mistakes are corrected with a reversal, so the audit trail shows exactly what happened and when.

Period locking

Close a month or a tax period and nothing can be posted into it, even by an administrator, until it is reopened on the record.

Reports that agree with each other

Trial balance, general ledger, profit and loss and balance sheet come from the same entries, with Excel and PDF export.

Multi-company

Run several companies under one account, each with its own books, currency, tax registration and numbering.

Questions people ask

Is One double-entry accounting software?

Yes. Every transaction posts debits and credits to the general ledger, and an entry that does not balance cannot be saved.

Can I edit a posted journal entry?

No, by design. You reverse it and post the correct entry, which keeps a complete audit trail. This is what auditors and tax authorities expect.

When can I post journals and run reports?

Journals, opening balances and financial reports are part of release v0.2, the next release. The chart of accounts, tax codes and numbering are live now.

Which accounting standards does it follow?

The ledger is standard double-entry and accrual based, so reports can be prepared under IFRS or local GAAP. Your accountant chooses the presentation.
